Shelton Legacy Scholarship

The Groveway Community Group – Shelton Legacy Scholarship, named in honor of Evelyn and Henry Shelton, was established to celebrate a legacy rooted in service, compassion, and commitment to community.

This scholarship is awarded to students who reflect those same values; individuals who have demonstrated strong academic focus while making a meaningful impact through volunteerism and community involvement. It is designed for those who understand that leadership is not defined by titles, but by action.

Through the application process, students are invited to share their story - highlighting their background, educational journey, extracurricular involvement, and the role service has played in shaping their perspective. A required essay allows applicants to reflect on their experiences, their connection to community, and the impact they hope to make moving forward. Supporting materials, including documented volunteer service, help provide a full picture of each applicant’s commitment and character.

Finalists may be selected for a brief interview to further explore their goals, resilience, and vision for the future.

Applications must be submitted by August 15, 2026, with enrollment verification required following submission.

This is more than financial support. It is an opportunity to carry forward a legacy of service and purpose.
